We believe God’s Word, and we speak to the mountain, just as God’s Word instructs us. Yet still we seem to fall short of receiving God’s best. Why is this? The answer may lie in the next part of Mark 11. Do we actually believe that what we say will come to pass? Do we recognize that our words have power, when spoken by the authority in the Name of Jesus, to bring about the change we desire? So often we don’t, and for many, this is the missing piece of the faith connection. We must grasp the fact that the words that we speak have the power to change circumstances, to bring about healing, to bring blessings upon ourselves and our families, and more. Of course, we must also recognize that our words have the power to bring about sickness, disaster, and death, because God isn’t the only one listening. There is a devil on the loose, operating as a thief, and God has given us authority over him, but it is up to us to exercise that authority. Too often, believers fall for the lie of the enemy, that our lives are no different from everyone else in the world - that we must be subject to the same hardships, sickness, poverty, disaster, and more. This has never been made clearer than in today’s world, where new viruses, a struggling economy, marital strife, depression, and anxiety are at an all-time high. Yet according to God’s living Word, these things were never intended for us. There is a way to live above such problems as children of the King of Kings, and Covenant partners with God through Christ. Confessing God’s Word daily is an important part of receiving everything God has promised to us, because faith comes by hearing God’s Word, and there is no better way to hear His Word, than for us to speak it aloud and declare it boldly.

Lord, if it’s Your will, please heal me. We’ve all heard prayers like that. Most of us have even prayed prayers like that. But what does the Bible actually say? When we study God’s Word, especially the life, ministry, and the Words of Jesus Himself, we see a very different picture - not of a God Who sometimes gives healing and sometimes sickness, but rather, of a God Who has already done the work to secure our healing and health, prosperity, protection, peace, and everything else we need for life on earth and in Heaven. Faith begins where the will of God is known, and today, Pastor Matt will explore how to put Spiritual laws and principles of faith into practice.

If God loves us, why do bad things happen? Why does Satan even exist? How important is one believer in the body of Christ? What right do we have to expect good things? These are just some of the questions on so many people’s minds, and today, Pastor Matt, by the power of the Holy Spirit, will answer many of them!
